Aphrodite, Antigone, Hekate, Daphne, Demeter, Lot's Wife...
...are female figures who populate, enrich and inspire my world of work. They have stepped out of stories and books, accompanied me home after museum visits, or emerged from dreams – flattering, challenging and searching for form. But sometimes they were suddenly just there ... like gifts. Simply because ginkgo leaves, beautifully weathered wood, an old worn sickle or rusty iron parts were lying in the yard.
